In November, the Ministry of General Affairs launched a production made by Starsound Productions to highlight the implementation of the new logo and accompanying house style of the Rijksoverheid.
The film targets government officials and citizens, informing them about the implementation of the new identity.
The film can be seen from 11 December 2008 for a half year in the Graphic Design Museum in Breda.
Video 14+netnumber Antwoord©

From 2015, the government’s point of contact for citizens, businesses and organisations will be the municipalities. In the future, citizens can take almost any question or transaction to the desk at their local municipality centre (gemeentehuis), or they can check the internet site or call to the Antwoord© client contact centre. The implementation of Antwoord© is an important step in the creation of one uniform, transparent government that centres around the citizen. Residents and businesses can visit the municipality’s website , call via a 14+netnumber or visit the physical desk of their local municipality. The information available is the same, irrespective of which medium a person chooses to use.

Video message Ministery of VROM

This was a video message from Zijne Koninklijke Hoogheid Prins van Oranje (His Royal Highness Prince of Orange) for a presentation of VROM at a BMU-conference for water policy in Berlin. Starsound Productions recorded this video message for VROM.
Ministery of VROM: videos of motorway panoramas
The environment around motorways is becoming increasingly important. Some consider the motorways’ immediate vicinity to be an eyesore and that views of the Dutch landscape are gradually disappearing. The Netherlands looks like one large interconnection of suburbs and business parks. However, there is still much to enjoy along the motorways in the Netherlands. So much so that the Ministry of VROM has designated 12 motorway locations as motorway panoramas which they wish to monitor and preserve . Starsound Productions recorded these locations for the ministry.
Information protection film

Starsound Productions made an audio visual production about data protection for the Ministery of VROM. The film shows a reconstruction of how an employee can accomplish the security of the information of the Ministery of VROM.
Item Legionella, problem and prevention
Length: 2 minutes
Starsound Productions produced a short item to open the European Legionella congress which was organised by the Ministery of VROM. In addition to the congress, the European Commission used the film in various applications within the European Union.
Policy with Citizens
The Ministery of VROM, contracted Starsound Produtions to make an item about joint government & citizen policy development . The film targeted VROM policy workers, and provides a quick overview on how to carry out a project with residents as successfully as possible. Morevoer, the film attempts to discourage a number of prejudices regarding the development of Policy with Citizens.
4 items: The powerful city
Length: 4 x 3 minutes
VROM wants to give a strong economic and social spin on their responsibility for space, living and the environment in Dutch cities. This was a central issue for the stakeholders meeting “Een krachtige stad” (a powerful city). This meeting included number of short, but powerful items meant to encourage discussion and allow the voice of the citizen to be heard.
Item: Introduction of the Gemeenschappelijke Dienst (GD) (Societal Service)
Length: 5 minutes
The aim of this film was to introduce the GD and GD directors, and to demonstrate that the GD make up more than the sum of its parts, because the GD is there for the entire VROM. The new directors introduce themselves in this item and answer questions on both light and serious topics.
Film about Annet Bertram: TopTalent finds Role model
Length: 6 minutes
Annet Bertram is the director-general of Living at the Ministery of VROM. She combines her busy job with raising her two daughters. This 6- minute film takes us through a day with Annet. We see her at work at VROM and we take a look at her home life. The film was shown at the congress ‘TopTalent finds Role model’.
The aim of this meeting is to inspire up and coming female talent by displaying the experiences of people in top government and business positions
Other audio-visual productions for Ministery of VROM
A Minister or State Secretary is regularly expected to attend expos, congresses and other such meetings. These visits are often time consuming and difficult to fit into busy schedules. A modern solution is a video message. This can be completed within half an hour (with or without autocue) and people at the congress can receive the message, often on the very next day.
Starsound Productions has produced a number of video messages for various Ministers and State Secretaries in the Ministery of VROM.
DVD for Inspection Traffic and Water
DVD length: 56 minutes
Starsound Productions made six films for the Traffic and Water Inspectorate. The films covered various sections of the Inspectorate and provide a quick, but clear insight into the various disciplines within the inspectorate and their respective roles . The final productions portray the story of the Inspectorate’s role in the air, on the rails, on the road and over the waters of the Netherlands. There are five different sections in the menu on the DVD that can be viewed separately. The sixth film on the DVD is a compilation of all sections.
TV/Radio commercials campaign 'Hans'
Starsound Productions produced 36 radio and television commercials for the Gemeente Den Haag’s campaign on rubbish . The lead role is played by Hans. HANS stands for Huishoudelijk Afval Natuurlijk Scheiden (seperate household rubbish, of course). At the same time, HANS is a symbol to anyone helping to keep The Hague clean and environmentally friendly. The commercials can be seen and heard on the regional channel RTV West (Omroep West).
DVD TOM (Teamonderwijs Op Maat (team education to size))
DVD length: 20 minutes
This DVD was an assignment from the Ministery of Education, Culture and Science and was produced in close cooperation with the NFGD. This DVD, which includes various informative programmes, is used to introduce a new education system and to provide information about the TOM project. TOM is an initiative in change and renewal for every section of a school: the employees’ effort, the organisation of education and the design of the learning environment.
Film “Gemeente heeft Antwoord©” (municipality has an answer)
DVD length: 7 minutes
Starsound Productions made an informative film about Antwoord© as an assignment for ICTU and CCO (Contact Centrum Overheid (government contact centre).
Antwoord© helps the municipalities to professionalise their contact with citizens by forming a Klant Contact Centrum (client contact centre) which will gradually become the point of contact for the government as a whole.
In the film, an important role is given to the Nationale Ombudsman. 7000 copies of the DVD were distributed in many districts in the Netherlands.
Gemeente Den Haag (municipality of The Hague)

The Education, Culture and Science service of the Gemeente Den Haag has asked Starsound Productions to produce a film about the youth participation projects in the Gemeente Den Haag. Starsound has created three projects: the Blockpartys & Skills, the Youth Ambassadors and the Youth Prevention Team. The film was enthusiastically received at the 'City of Children' congress in Stuttgart.
Gemeente Zuid Kennemerland Promotion Film
Film length: 3 minutes
Wonderful locations and points of interest in Haarlem, Haarlemmermeer and Zandvoort are displayed in a 3-minute promotional film and an accompanying 40-second teaser (commercial) .
An important aim of this production was to put the region of Zuid-Kennemerland on the map, from both a national and international perspective. The film can be seen in Zandvoort, the VVV offices and on cruise ships.
Gemeente Hoorn, Work and Income
Film length: 3 minutes
On assignment for Gemeente Hoorn, Starsound Productions made a short film about the new building for Work and Income in the municipality of Hoorn. This building is the new base of operations for the department of work and income (previously social affairs), the CWI and the UWV. Hoorn succeeded not only in centralising the different partners in one building, but also in ensuring that there is one common point of contact for issues regarding work and income. Hoorn takes a unique approach in the area of cooperation between the municipality, the UWV and the CWI.
Rijksdienst voor het Werkverkeer (governmental service for road traffic) topical programme: NL Vandaag
Programme length: 3 minutes
On assignment for the RDW, Starsound Productions produced the topical programme “NL Vandaag”. In this special studio broadcast, presented by Victor Brand (from SBS 6 show news), a discussion is held as to whether or not the current APK/MOT check meets the required environmental and quality demands. This programme was especially developed and produced to commemorate the 25-year existence of the MOT.
Province South Holland
Film length: 3 minutes
The province of South Holland wants to create a province-wide walking path network through South Holland. They will do this by protecting and maintaining the most useful existing paths and by laying down new paths to encourage walking.
The main purpose of the film is to inform and enthuse leaders and officials of the municipalities, water states and representatives and other land owners, about the province of South Holland’s walking path initiative. The video will be shown during official meetings as well as during events of the province South Holland.
